Child and Adolescent Psychiatric 24-hour care in Malmö operates across the region, serving children and young people up to 18 years old. Here we provide specialized 24-hour care on three units and an emergency reception**, both of which are open 24/7**. Care Unit 1 has seven beds for patients with serious and complex child psychiatric issues. The work team consists of nurses, nursing assistants, family therapists, doctors, psychologist, social worker, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, coordinators, secretaries, and a unit manager. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a nurse on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (Bup) 24-hour care unit 1, you will have overall nursing responsibility for admitted patients. The role also includes serving as a work leader with responsibility for leading and allocating work on the unit. On the unit, we offer highly specialized care to children and young people with various child psychiatric conditions such as mood disorders, self-harm behavior, suicidality, and post-traumatic difficulties, where there is a need to stabilize their psychiatric condition. Often there are complex issues with comorbidities. Our mission is to increase patients' functional level so they can benefit from continued outpatient care. We work to ensure a patient-centered approach, and our goal is that patients never need to receive 24-hour care longer than their condition requires. This makes it particularly important to collaborate early with external partners such as other care providers, social services, and schools. The unit works based on standardized care processes (SVP). As a new nurse, it's important to us that you feel secure in your professional role at your new workplace. You will be assigned a mentor and offered supervision every other week. The operations also have regular lectures in child psychiatric knowledge and an introductory training program for new employees within Region Skåne. Working hours are scheduled and include day, evening, and weekend shifts. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a licensed nurse with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. If you have specialist training in psychiatry, we consider that a merit. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) level 1, DBT, and experience in child and adolescent psychiatric work are also significant advantages, as is experience with the Melior documentation system. To succeed in this role, we would like you to be a treatment-oriented person with strong patient focus. You have good collaboration skills, flexibility, and broad cultural competence. We expect you to be a responsible and mature person with good communication skills who works well both independently and in a team-based setting.
