Psychosis Care Stockholm is a newly established service within the Stockholm County Healthcare Region. Here we consolidate care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic illness within one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment according to national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psychosis Care Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research on psychotic illness. We work in multidisciplinary teams to provide the best possible care and treatment for our patients. We are now seeking a registered nurse for Unit 4 on a temporary contract until March 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension. About the Unit Unit 4 has 14 care beds, one of which is reserved for voluntary admission. As a registered nurse, you will receive training in voluntary admission procedures and then be responsible for admission and discharge of these patients. The unit is located on the S: Göran hospital grounds, which is centrally situated with good access to the city and excellent transportation connections. We are committed to promoting a humanistic value base and creating a dignified care environment for our patients. The unit is multidisciplinary and consists of registered nurses, nursing assistants, assistant nurses, physicians, and a social worker. By offering supportive conversations, we encourage our patients to participate in activities, exercise, and develop good eating habits. The unit works with Safewards, a method to ensure safe care for patients and strengthen their ability to influence which activities the unit will offer. Duties As a registered nurse, you will have a central leadership role with primary responsibility for psychiatric and general nursing care. Duties on the unit include standard nursing tasks such as offering conversations, participating in/leading rounds/care planning, supervising students, medication management, specimen collection, and documentation in the computer journal systems Takecare and Lifecare. The role also involves close collaboration with outpatient clinics. Qualifications You are a licensed registered nurse with an interest in psychiatric care. Previous experience within psychiatric care or specialist training in psychiatry is advantageous. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. As a person, you are positive, creative, solution-focused, and responsible. You have good collaboration skills and are loyal to your assignment, but most importantly, you have a strong interest in working with patients with psychosis. The position includes day/evening shifts and 2 of 5 weekends scheduled. The same requirement is applicable guidance for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
