About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking additional staff members. We are the agency responsible for correctional facilities, probation services, detention centers, and prisoner transport. Job Description The Swedish Prison and Probation Service operates certain open health and medical care services, which means that all correctional facilities and detention centers have health clinics where inmates can seek care. In addition to nurses, the clinics also have general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a nurse, you will have your own clinic for assessing minor ailments, and you will also determine which patients should see a doctor. This means you work with both physical and psychiatric health and medical care for inmates, assist at medical clinics, and administer medications primarily through dose dispensing. Documentation is done in PMO patient medical records. Work-related travel may occur.
