About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce reoffending – to break the vicious cycle. When we succeed in this, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for correctional facilities, probation services, remand prisons, and inmate transportation.
Job Description
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service operates certain open health and medical care services, which means that all correctional facilities and remand prisons have medical clinics where inmates can seek care. In addition to registered nurses, the clinics also have general practitioners and psychiatrists. As a registered nurse, you have your own clinic for assessing minor health issues, and you also evaluate which patients should see a doctor. This means you work with both somatic and psychiatric health and medical care for inmates, assist at doctor's appointments, and administer medication primarily through dose dispensing. Documentation is done in PMO patient medical records.

We are looking for someone with:
Registered Nurse license
Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
It is also advantageous to have:
A specialization or further education relevant to the employer, for example in psychiatry, acute care, or outpatient care
Work experience in the profession
Relevant language skills
Class B driver's license
