We are a general psychiatry outpatient clinic with a mission to provide specialized care for mental illness and health issues in adults. This is done in three different teams: the general, ADHD, and life care teams, which include doctors, psychologists, curators, occupational therapists, administrators, and rehabilitation coordinators. You will primarily be directed toward the ADHD team but will also have a general nursing role that extends across all teams. With us, you will be offered varied work with a high degree of independence and participation with your own responsibility for the daily work at the clinic. Duties Work as a nurse is performed in all teams. In the ADHD team, you will conduct visits and phone consultations for medication initiation and follow-up of central stimulant medications in patients with an ADHD diagnosis, and when needed, also conduct blood tests and suicide risk assessments. Other tasks shared with the entire nursing group include other medication follow-ups, administering injections, psychiatric follow-up, and when needed, contact with relatives. You will meet patients whose mental health has deteriorated and have the opportunity to work in a therapeutic, supportive, and suicide-preventive manner in a team with other professionals at the clinic. Together with colleagues, you will also staff the advisory telephone line, handle matters coming through 1177, as well as prescription and medication telephone services, and offer nursing consultations. An important part of the work is collaboration with other healthcare providers within the municipality and health and medical care, and together with colleagues, responsibility for supervising nursing students who are doing their placement at our clinic. Contributing to business development is a natural part of the work. Qualifications Specialist nurse with a focus on psychiatry or licensed nurse. In the event of employment, for those lacking a specialist nursing degree, specialist training can be part of your individual competency development plan. About the Organization General Psychiatry's outpatient care is part of the general psychiatry operations area. Our general psychiatric clinics are located in Hallsberg, Karlskoga, Lindesberg, and in Örebro. Specialized clinics for, for example, electroconvulsive therapy, affective conditions, neuropsychiatric investigations, deaf psychiatry, and gender dysphoria are located in Örebro. We work with both individual and group therapy as well as both planned and acute visits and telephone counseling. Rehabilitation is included as part of our work as well as mobile interventions through our specialist psychiatric care teams (SPOT) and patient and relative education programs.
