The Emergency Department in Kristianstad is the center for emergency care in northeastern Scania and has over 52,000 patient visits annually. We are part of the Acute Operations Area (VO) and receive between 120 and 170 patients daily with various diagnoses and varying severity levels. Our mission is to best meet both the patient and their loved ones in their current situation. We are in a development phase where we focus on our working methods to optimize patient care. Our vision is to work in a borderless manner in multiprofessional teams, where emergency physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries collaborate to provide patients with the best possible care. The nursing team at the emergency department consists of both general nurses and specialist nurses with a broad range of professional experience. 1 position(s). As a nurse at our emergency department, your job responsibilities include patient care, observation, and assessment of patients with illness of varying severity. This also includes triage, medication administration, and handling ambulance call-outs. As a new employee, you will receive individual orientation based on your previous knowledge and will be assigned a mentor who will support you during your first time with us. We offer competency development at various levels through our training manager and training pathway. The competency plan follows you throughout your entire clinical career with us. Within the training pathway, you have the opportunity to pursue Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) and Trauma Education for Nurses in Sweden (TrSS). As you become confident in your role, you will have the opportunity to join our so-called heart team, which is responsible for cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation for the entire hospital. We also have alarm teams that handle all our high-priority patients and triage, where they meet and assist all patients who arrive at the emergency department through our reception. Time for continuing education is provided within the scope of your employment. With us, we focus on teamwork, which we practice through scenario training on-site at the emergency department. We also offer the opportunity for specialist education and several different development areas. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with the authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. You have several years of work experience as a nurse, preferably from emergency care. If you have further education in emergency care, intensive care, anesthesia, ambulance care, and/or training as a district nurse, we consider this an advantage. You adapt easily to changing circumstances and have a good ability to plan and prioritize in your work. Furthermore, you are quality-conscious and take initiative and responsibility in your work. Since the pace changes quickly, we see that you are a person who remains calm and composed in acute situations. For us, it is important that you enjoy working in a team, while also enjoying working independently in an environment that is never predictable. In addition, you are outgoing and contribute to well-functioning cooperation and are socially active in professional contexts. We would like to see that you can understand others' situations without taking on their emotions, and have understanding for different cultures and situations.
