You are offered: - At least six weeks of structured onboarding together with a training nurse and a mentor to ensure you get the best possible start with us - During the first year, a one-week introductory course in renal nursing care, and within two years, a four-day advanced course. About the position: In the dialysis unit at Huddinge, we care for patients with chronic kidney failure who require dialysis three times per week. Since dialysis is a life-sustaining treatment, our patients are recurring, which creates long-term relationships and great opportunities for patient-centered care. You'll be offered work in a stimulating environment that combines medical technology with close patient contact. The work is therefore based on equal parts of relationship-building nursing care and medical-technical considerations in the patient's dialysis treatment, where you as a nurse play an important role in creating calm and security for the patient. With us, no patients are hospitalized, so you always have a clear end to your day. During the day, there is dedicated time for both patient care and planning and documentation. You'll work closely with physicians, nursing assistants, and other nurses, where everyone contributes to providing the best care for the patient. The work also includes a significant amount of independent work as you are the one planning and performing the dialysis treatment. In the long term, there is also the opportunity to perform emergency dialysis externally at the hospital and to gain specialized expertise in pediatric dialysis. The work tempo at the dialysis clinic is characterized by a balance between advanced care with extra focus during treatment starts and endings, and social interactions with patients that make the workday stimulating. In between, there is time for documentation, patient planning, and monitoring treatments, as well as socializing and sharing experiences with colleagues. Favorable working hours: Morning shifts are scheduled Monday through Sunday from 07:00 - 15:30. Afternoon shifts on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 11:30 - 20:00.
