At the clinic Center for Operative Activities Skellefteå, we provide intensive care for children and adults, acute and planned surgical care, anesthesia with associated postoperative care, and sterilization services. Operations are conducted in collaboration with the Surgery and Orthopedic departments, as well as other clinics both at the hospital and throughout the county. In collaboration with the university, we also conduct research, development, and education.

We are now seeking a registered nurse for the Postoperative Unit in Skellefteå who wants to help develop our services and make a difference for our patients. Through good collaboration within the region, efficient care pathways, ongoing improvement work, and competent staff, we can offer high-quality care. Together we develop healthcare close to the patient and create security through a focus on respect, integrity, and accessibility.
At the postoperative unit, you will work according to a fixed schedule that follows General Terms (AB). The schedule is designed in dialogue with the employee and then runs according to a rotating schedule. During summer, holiday weeks, and around major holidays, deviations from the schedule may occur since the unit does not operate to the same extent.

DUTIES

In your role as a nurse, your primary position will be at our Postoperative Unit where newly operated patients come after surgery before they can proceed to a care ward or home. There is a large patient flow through the postoperative unit with many different procedures. Procedures such as preoperative preparations can also be performed there.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in postoperative care. We place great importance on personal qualities such as flexibility, good self-awareness, and communication skills. You are confident as a person, dare to take initiative but ask for help when you need it. Finally, you are a colleague who contributes to a good atmosphere and enjoys collaborating across professional boundaries.
You see service and flexibility as a matter of course, can handle acute and stressful situations, are interested in care development, and put the patient in focus. You are confident as a person, dare to take initiative but ask for help when you need it, have good collaboration skills and the ability to build good relationships with colleagues, both within and outside the unit. You have a positive attitude toward change, quality, and development work.
