Together we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of being Europe's leading university hospital by 2032. Working alongside patients, we strive for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – within a coordinated healthcare system in the Västra Götaland Region. Our vision and goals aim toward the highest quality care, where the patient is always in focus. We offer healthcare locally and regionally, as well as highly specialized care to patients throughout the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength and they contribute to knowledge exchanges nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new ways of working, we can simplify daily operations at the hospital and offer modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality. About Us We are now looking for you who are interested in interventional cardiology with a focus on heart failure! With us, you will work at the forefront of cardiac care, with a focus on diagnosis and treatment of patients with advanced heart failure. About the Job At our sviktlab, we are responsible for cardiac catheterizations and myocardial biopsies as an important part of the diagnostic workup for patients with heart failure, both before and after heart transplantation. As part of the national heart transplantation assignment, we perform both planned and urgent procedures, which provides a varied and stimulating work day. Operations are conducted in high-tech intervention rooms and are closely linked to several research projects, providing the opportunity to participate in the latest developments in advanced cardiac care. The work also involves close collaboration and coordination with several units, including the research unit, clinical physiology, and coordinators at the cardiac clinic and transplant clinic. At Intervention 3, we work daytime Monday through Friday, with opportunities for professional development and participation in research. The work involves individualized introduction and training, as well as the opportunity to rotate to our arrhythmia rooms (ablation and/or pacemaker). As a nurse with us, you will have a varied and developing role where you alternate between being the patient-responsible nurse, assisting and being sterile-dressed, as well as being responsible for pressure recordings during our interventional procedures. You will become part of a competent and engaged team where we support each other! About You You are a registered nurse, preferably with experience from cardiac care and/or acute care, and curious about or have experience in interventional cardiology. You enjoy working in teams and want to contribute to a good work environment and develop within a highly specialized area. We value it if you have a particular interest in heart failure and care related to heart transplantation. We warmly welcome your application! Meet Some of Our Employees - Sahlgrenska University Hospital In case of recruitment of nurses/physicians with foreign credentials/specialist certification, the position in question will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish credentials/specialist certification. If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Base Year, which is our introduction program. The clinical base year is mandatory and lasts during your first year of employment with us. The clinical base year includes lectures, nursing mentoring, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. In addition, it also includes placement at least two different departments to broaden your skills. About Västra Götaland Region With us, you become part of a larger whole.
