At the Pulmonary and Allergy Clinic, we care for patients with conditions such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, COPD, allergies, and lung cancer. Working at the pulmonary clinic gives you the opportunity to combine technology with good and safe care. This forms the foundation of the work. Once you master the basics, there is the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in one of our diagnosis groups, for example asthma, allergies, fibrosis, COPD, or oxygen therapy.

WORK TASKS
As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel secure. At the Pulmonary and Allergy Clinic, we are engaged in change work where we strive for more nurses to participate in clinic operations. This means you meet and care for internal medicine patients at the clinic while also participating in development work that will contribute to future care.
The clinic performs invasive procedures including bronchoscopy, pleural aspiration/drainage, and thoracoscopy. You have an important role and your work contributes to our goal of providing patients with the best possible care. Exciting technical development is also taking place here that will position Umeå at the forefront from a quality perspective regarding investigations of lung diseases.
Main duties as a nurse consist of clinic operations, telephone advice, care administration, specimen collection, spirometry, medication dispensing, and planning and assisting with various invasive treatments. Work tasks can be of both acute and non-acute nature.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is advantageous if you have experience with clinic operations and work with patients with lung diseases, and/or if you have further education as a nurse in asthma/COPD.
We expect you to be organized, thorough, and persistent in your work. We also believe you are confident in yourself and can make independent decisions. It is important that you have good communication skills with patients and colleagues.
Employment type: Fixed-term position.
Duration: 6 months or longer, Start date: By agreement, End date: 2027-08-31.
