Then we welcome you to become part of our pacemaker surgery team. The Cardiac Clinic for Arrhythmia and Pacemaker Surgery is a highly specialized interventional unit. In our arrhythmia laboratory, we perform invasive electrophysiological examinations and treatments of cardiac arrhythmias. With approximately 1,000 ablations per year, we are one of Sweden's largest centers for invasive electrocardiology. At the Pacemaker Unit, we see patients in clinic, provide follow-up and remote monitoring of pacemaker and ICD therapy, and provide perioperative nursing care. Pacemaker surgery is one of Europe's largest in terms of pacemaker and defibrillator implantations with approximately 900 surgeries annually. We have responsibility for nationally highly specialized care (NHV) for extraction surgery. Clinical hours are weekdays during daytime, but the position may involve two weekend shifts within inpatient care per five-week period. We offer the opportunity to work as a registered nurse on our Pacemaker Unit. The work is varied and stimulating where no two days are the same. As a nurse you will develop through multifaceted tasks where both pre- and postoperative nursing care as well as nursing responsibility in the operating room are included. We offer internal training in basic pacemaker programming. The unit works interdisciplinarily and strives to provide patients with the highest quality of care. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at minimum level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. For this role, we consider it an asset if you have several years of experience working within cardiac care. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of ECG and arrhythmia treatment. Experience from working in an operating room environment is a plus. Knowledge of Melior and Orbit systems is desirable.
