The Psychiatric 24-Hour Care Unit's mission is to provide inpatient psychiatric specialist care to adults and, when applicable, to young people up to 18 years old. The work is characterized by a person-centered approach where the patient is a whole person with resources, abilities, and involvement in care planning. At our two units, we care for all diagnoses and conditions occurring within psychiatry, which is why we seek a broad competency profile among our staff.
Your Tasks
You are responsible for the psychiatric nursing care of inpatient patients together with nursing assistants and healthcare aides. Standard nursing tasks are included, such as rounds, medication administration, patient conversations, and documentation. On weekends and evenings, you are responsible together with another nurse for our emergency clinic, both through telephone consultation and in-person visits.
You always have two nurses on duty, each responsible for their own unit. During nights, you are responsible together with nursing assistants for the emergency clinic, regarding telephone consultation and clinic visits.
Who Are You?
You are a licensed nurse. If you have specialist training in psychiatry, that is a merit.
It is also a merit if you have experience working in psychiatric 24-hour care. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualities: personal maturity, integrity, and independence. You are proactive and flexible, with the ability to work independently in your professional field. As a person, you are stable and stress-resilient with a well-developed empathetic ability, and you can communicate and collaborate.
