AT for Researchers AT for researchers is conducted at Akademiska Hospital and within primary care throughout Uppsala County. Your research will be conducted at Uppsala University. We are now advertising seven AT-blocks for researchers. We are looking for you who are interested in combining clinical work with medical research at Uppsala University. The block includes: • Internal medicine specialties 4.5 months • Surgical specialties 4.5 months • Psychiatry 3 months • General medicine 6 months • Research 6 months Clinical service is alternated with research. Employment always ends with clinical service. Your Qualifications You who are applying must have a medical degree at the time of employment. Meritorious Up to six months of clinical experience as a locum physician is meritorious in this recruitment. Previous experience of work in Region Uppsala is meritorious. Other relevant experience of work within healthcare can also be meritorious. Completed degrees, publications in scientific journals and participation in conferences are meritorious. Pedagogical experience is meritorious. Your Competencies As a person you are thorough and structured. You are also flexible, have good collaboration skills and good judgment. Assessment of Research Plan Your research plan will be assessed by experts, who will rank applicants based on clinical, research and pedagogical merits, as well as the potential in the research plan. If you are a doctoral student, you must be registered as a doctoral student at Uppsala University to be an eligible applicant. If you are not yet a registered doctoral student or if you are already a doctoral degree holder, you must be affiliated with Uppsala University. For not yet registered doctoral students, the attached research plan needs to reflect the entire planned doctoral project including information on planned supervisors. Selection for AT for researchers is made in consultation with the University Hospital Committee, which has representatives from the Faculty of Medicine at Uppsala University and Region Uppsala. The University Hospital Committee reserves the right to make certain strategic considerations in the distribution of AT for researchers positions. As we are recruiting for the future, we would like to see you continue to develop within Region Uppsala after completing AT. Your Application Should Include • Medical degree certificate, if you have completed your medical degree. Otherwise it must be submitted to the AT unit before an employment contract can be issued • CV detailing your education and work experience • Research plan of a maximum of four pages in Swedish or English. The research plan must be attached as a pdf according to the instructions in the Researchweb application system. • Certificate of doctoral degree if you are a doctoral degree holder • Admission notice for doctoral studies from Uppsala University if you are a doctoral student • Certificate from main supervisor about plans for research activities if you are not a doctoral degree holder • Publication list of scientific work, attached as a pdf according to the instructions in the Researchweb application system. The requirement for a publication list applies both if you are a doctoral degree holder and if you are not yet a doctoral degree holder • Service certificate proving your clinical experience. Other certificate may be accepted provided that the period is clear and the certificate is signed • If you have a foreign medical degree, you must attach a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding general service, AT. Certificate of Swedish language proficiency corresponding to Swedish C1/Swedish as a second language 3 must also be attached Any offer of employment will be made following a comprehensive assessment of your merits, both clinical and research-related, and interviews.
