Job Description

Your main task as assistant principal is to lead and develop the educational activities. As assistant principal, you share responsibility with the principal for operating the school in accordance with current regulations. You will have shared personnel responsibility and will also act as interim principal when the regular principal is not present.
Our students placed at Råby are non-compulsory school age; the majority study within the introduction program framework, but there may also be compulsory school students and students within the adapted school framework. Most students have experienced difficulties in their schoolwork and need to compensate for interrupted schooling. All students have an individual study plan where they set goals together with a mentor and study and career counselor, studying basic and/or upper secondary subjects according to their needs. Teaching is conducted on a full-time basis in smaller teaching groups.
Qualifications
The position of assistant principal requires that you are organized, communicative, and clear in your leadership. Having experience, talent, and competence regarding scheduling is an important part of the job. The assistant principal role requires good collaboration both within the residential home and with our partners in social services and the education administration, where students' right to education is central. You need a strong ability to create and maintain relationships with both staff and students. You also need the ability to engage your staff and create a work environment characterized by legal security, quality, development, participation, and job satisfaction.
Requirements:
Teacher certification
Good knowledge of school governance and regulations
Good knowledge and experience working with introduction programs and upper secondary school as an educational form
Good skills in scheduling, preferably at the individual level
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Good administrative ability
Class B driver's license
Meriting factors:
Completed principal program
Special education degree
Experience with students in need of special support in both primary and upper secondary school
Experience working with placed children and youth
Managerial experience with personnel responsibility
Good knowledge of various programs, particularly Excel.

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time position and begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement.
The employment is a temporary position (holiday relief).
The position may be placed in a security clearance class, which means that a security vetting with background check will be conducted before an employment decision.
