Job Description
SiS youth institution Margretelund is now seeking an English teacher with certification to teach at both primary and secondary school levels. As a teacher with us, you teach in small groups with extra adaptations based on each student's needs. Nearly all teaching occurs within the framework of the introduction program. We have our students for shorter or longer periods, and a positive approach and belief in each individual's development potential is important. Students' varied experiences and results from previous schooling mean that teaching can be both motivating and knowledge-imparting.
We work in team teaching, which means you plan, implement, follow up on, and document instruction with your subject colleague. You will both collaborate with and receive support from other professional groups such as SYV, treatment secretaries, treatment pedagogues, and psychologists.
Qualifications
You need to be drawn to the opportunity to teach and build trusting pedagogical relationships in smaller teaching groups consisting of students with psychosocial issues and criminal behavior. It is important that you can identify and meet students' needs with high, realistic expectations as well as motivate and guide students toward their goals. We would like you to be unpretentious, flexible, able to set and maintain boundaries in a respectful manner, and have confidence that all students can find a path to education and work.
You must have:
teacher certification and certification to teach English at primary and secondary school levels.
ability to plan, teach, and follow up on your instruction.
experience with pedagogical work in a school environment.
It is also advantageous if you have:
experience working with introduction programs and working in special teaching groups.
certification to teach in more subjects than English.

The position is a permanent full-time position beginning with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
