SiS Youth Residential Care Margretelund accommodates non-compulsory school-age girls and boys with psychosocial difficulties, criminal issues, and substance abuse. We have operations in Lidköping and near Falköping.
Job Description
Would you like to be part of creating vital change and contribute to school activities for vulnerable youth? Then the position of treatment pedagogue focused on school activities at SiS Youth Residential Care Margretelund is a meaningful challenge for you.
In this role, you provide security for youth and staff during school hours, ensuring you're available to create a good, safe, and supportive learning environment. You are responsible for student class changes, coordinate and lead unit staff in school based on teaching and student needs, and play an important role in motivating students to attend school. Together with other school staff, you are also responsible for maintaining order and study quiet during lessons and breaks.

Work hours are daytime, Monday through Friday.
As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with guided introduction and equips you for the treatment role within SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in this work, you have a firmly grounded positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable situations and share SiS values of being a place for change. You have a strong ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are confident and build relationships easily with both young people and other staff members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm in stressful situations. You collaborate well with others and handle conflicts constructively.
You must also have:
Diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work, or higher education that we assess as equivalent
Category B driver's license
Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
It is also advantageous if you have:
Experience working with people in vulnerable situations
Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
Education in care and support
Experience working with our target group
Experience working in a school environment

Employment:
This position is permanent full-time employment with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible.
