Your Assignment As a signal intelligence analyst, you will be part of the signals intelligence department, which conducts signal intelligence gathering to provide information and early warning about threats and conditions in the world that support the government's foreign, security, and defense policy. Signal intelligence involves collecting signals and data, which are then processed and analyzed to ultimately result in intelligence that is reported to the clients. As a technical signal intelligence analyst, you are the first link in an exciting production chain. You make the initial assessment of what will later be presented as finished reports to our clients. In your role as a technical signal intelligence analyst, your main responsibilities after training and practice will be: Locate, register, and identify foreign signals, primarily radar signals Contribute to the basis for outgoing reporting Processing and analysis The work is performed in close collaboration with others, but you also work independently and contribute your part to the whole. The work pace is hectic and sometimes stressful. You will work in shifts, as operations run 24/7. You will primarily work on our naval operations station with all that entails for the physical work environment, but periodically also at other locations. Work on board requires you to pass a basic health examination that is repeated every two years. Your position begins with internal training and practical service outside the regular duty station. The role involves business travel, particularly during your first employment period. You may also work on a rotating basis at other locations in Sweden. It is therefore important that you are flexible and willing to travel and work at different locations. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: At least completed upper secondary education Good general computer skills Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in both Swedish and English We consider it an advantage if you have: Upper secondary education in IT, natural science/technical focus, physics, and/or mathematics Experience in signal intelligence Experience working with radar, technical analysis tools, or other technical work Experience and/or knowledge in reporting, military affairs, and/or military technology Background in the Swedish Armed Forces, Navy, or previous work on ships Experience in programming, statistics, and/or analysis tools You Are We place great importance on your personality and are looking for someone who is good at collaboration and values information sharing to achieve results together with others.
