About the Service Technician Role As a Service Technician, you work at Atlas Copco's customer sites in the manufacturing industry with industrial tightening tools and associated technical systems. This can include, for example, handheld tools used in assembly or more complex fixture-mounted solutions integrated into the customer's production. The role combines practical technical work with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and consulting, which means no two days are the same. You work largely independently at customer sites and are responsible for completing your assignments to a high standard. At the same time, you collaborate closely with other service technicians, sales representatives, and project managers. An important part of the role is understanding the customer's production and being able to see how the tools and systems can be used and optimized to create efficient and quality-assured production. Your assignments are primarily in western Sweden, where you work from home and visit customer sites in the region. Travel is a natural part of the role. Your main responsibilities: • Install, commission, and maintain handheld and fixture-mounted tightening tools at customer sites. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to tools, control systems, and networks. • Calibrate and verify tools to ensure correct function and quality. • Optimize tools and technical solutions based on the customer's production and needs. • Provide technical advice and guidance to customers on the use and function of tools and systems. About You We believe you currently work as a service technician, automation technician, maintenance technician, industrial electrician, or similar, and want to take the next step in a more independent role with customer contact. You have a good understanding of network technology and are accustomed to working with technical systems and software. You also have experience with troubleshooting and practical work in installing, servicing, or maintaining technical equipment, as well as experience from the manufacturing industry and/or production environments. A B driver's license is required, and you need to have strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. As a person, you are solution-oriented, self-driven, and have a strong technical interest. You enjoy working closely with customers and have an ability to build trust through a service-oriented and professional approach. You are flexible and organized in your work style and take responsibility for driving your tasks forward, while also appreciating collaboration with colleagues and other internal functions. Important for the role: • Experience from a technical position as a service technician, automation technician, maintenance technician, industrial electrician, or similar. • Good understanding of network technology and experience working with technical systems and software. • Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving technical equipment. • Practical experience installing, servicing, or maintaining technical equipment. • Experience from the manufacturing industry and/or production environments. • B driver's license. • Strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Desirable • Experience with PLC and automation. • Experience with bolt joint technology. • Knowledge of mechatronics. • Experience commissioning, calibrating, or optimizing technical equipment.
