We are the agency responsible for correctional facilities, probation services, remand prisons, and prisoner transport. Job Description As a facility service technician, you will work in an operation with high security requirements. You are responsible for the technical management of the facility as well as service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and local operational development in collaboration with the property owner. You will work with, among other things, Siemens fire alarms, PreVision for SBA, sprinkler systems, access control systems, locks and doors with varying degrees of automation, and elevators. You will also work with door closers, gates, and roller shutters. Some tasks may require shared operational responsibility with the property owner according to a demarcation list, including plumbing, geothermal installations, ventilation with air handling units and associated fire functions, and other building control systems within the facility area. Other tasks may include replacing and repairing fixtures, addressing drainage issues, adjusting doors and hinges, coordinating external personnel performing work within the facility area, and certain record-keeping and service to other staff. The work also includes ongoing documentation and follow-ups in the form of quarterly inspections, annual inspections, and audit inspections. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you have a genuine interest in facility technology and security-related tasks. You are initiative-taking, take personal responsibility for your work tasks, and structure and drive processes forward. You should also be well-organized and able to prioritize and organize work efficiently. The job also requires good collaboration skills and a willingness and ability to help others and provide good service. We are looking for someone who has: The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish High school education or other education combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant Education and/or work experience that the employer deems relevant Work experience in one or more of the following areas: Doors, door systems, electrical strike plates, locks, and intercom systems Security awareness both in terms of work environment and client safety Class B driver's license It is also advantageous to have: Work experience and/or education in one or more of the specified systems described under job duties Work experience and/or education in the operation and maintenance of building systems Work experience and/or education as a Siemens facilities technician Work experience and/or education as a sprinkler systems technician Hot work certification Scissor lift certification Previous experience with facility work in a correctional environment Previous experience with facility management Experience with ordering and invoice handling Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
