The Temporary Staffing unit is part of the HR department and is responsible for covering short-term personnel needs for all operations within Region Gävleborg.
The Logistics and Service business area has approximately 150 employees distributed across Gävle, Sandviken, Hudiksvall, Bollnäs, Söderhamn, and Ljusdal. Logistics and Service has a regional responsibility for internal logistics and service delivery to and within Emergency Hospitals, District Hospitals, and Health Centers within Region Gävleborg. The mission is to deliver services with the right content, quality, and scope.
As a temporary service worker in a care setting, you will be employed through Temporary Staffing Region Gävleborg but placed with Logistics and Service.

DUTIES
Work as a service worker in a care setting is varied, exciting, and educational. Job duties and working hours vary depending on which unit you work at. We use shift work where night shifts may occur.
As a service worker in Supply Management, you will perform tasks such as:
• Organize and adapt storage cabinets
• Inventory, order, and restock unit supply cabinets
• Administer supply management
• Unpack materials
As a service worker in Courier Services, you will perform tasks such as:
• Transport patients within the hospital
• Transport items such as samples, medications, and blood
• Transport sterile goods and cleaned goods
• Simple mail handling, including mail pickup and delivery
QUALIFICATIONS
In the role of service worker with us, you need to be service-oriented and have the ability to take initiative. You should see opportunities and focus on the customer. You are an empathetic person with good social skills and can read situations and act accordingly. Since the work is physically demanding, it is important that you enjoy working in motion. Furthermore, you are communicative and work well with others.
To work as a service worker with us, you need to:
• Have completed upper secondary education
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have basic computer skills
• Not have another occupation that comprises more than 50 percent
We would like to see that you have:
• Forklift certification with A-license and/or D1
• Completed ADR1.3 training
• B driving license
• Experience from customer service, care work, warehouse, or as a custodian
