SPIDER (the Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions) is an independent center at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV), Stockholm University that focuses on digitalization of international development cooperation. We are now seeking a senior project advisor for SPIDER with broad experience in international development cooperation, project management, and capacity development. The role involves providing strategic and operational support within iPRIS, with particular focus on project management, inclusion and DEI, reporting, research, and international cooperation. The work takes place in an international and cross-professional environment and involves close collaboration with project management, colleagues, project partners, and other external actors. Duties The role of senior project advisor includes: Provide strategic and operational support to project management and implementation of iPRIS. Contribute to project planning, monitoring, reporting, risk management, and quality assurance. Plan and implement training and capacity development initiatives in project management and DEI. Provide advice on leadership, project development, change initiatives, diversity, equality, and inclusion. Contribute to development of the project's results and final reports as well as other relevant deliverables. Contribute to research work, including analysis, documentation of lessons learned, and co-authoring of scientific publications. Support collaboration and network building with national, regional, and international partners. Contribute contextual and strategic advice, particularly regarding African and European development contexts. Represent SPIDER and iPRIS at relevant national and international meetings and activities. International work travel will occur. Qualifications Requirements Higher academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer to be equivalent. Extensive senior-level experience in international development cooperation and project management. Documented experience with project planning, monitoring, and reporting in international projects. Documented knowledge of diversity, equality, gender equality, and inclusion (DEI) as well as experience implementing training or capacity development initiatives. Experience working with international and multidisciplinary teams and partners. Very strong communicative, diplomatic, and intercultural skills. Very strong ability to work professionally in French and Portuguese. Very strong ability to express yourself orally and in writing in English. Meritorious Experience in development cooperation in African, European, and Swedish contexts. Experience with results frameworks and logical frameworks. Experience co-authoring scientific articles or other academic publications. Experience with digitalization or global digital development (ICT4D). Experience collaborating with government agencies, regional organizations, or other public actors. Experience working on international programs with multiple partner organizations. About the Position The position is full-time and limited to 12 months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
