Learn more about your benefits Job Description We offer a developing and independent position as section leader for Surgery. In this role, you work closely with the section leader for Urology and become an important part of an operation that includes both elective and acute surgery. You are part of an engaged work group characterized by strong teamwork, high competence, and a shared focus on quality and patient safety. As a section leader, you are responsible for the daily management of surgical operations. In close collaboration with the flow coordinator in Anesthesia, anesthesiologists, and surgeons, you work to ensure a well-functioning perioperative flow. As a section leader, you have important responsibility for planning, leading, developing, and following up on daily operations. You report to the ward manager and function as close support in both operative and operational development matters. The position combines leadership with clinical work, where approximately 40 percent of your working time consists of work as an operating room nurse. Your duties include: - Plan, allocate, and coordinate personnel resources based on operational needs, current care intensity, and staffing. - Coordinate and optimize patient flow in close collaboration with responsible physicians and other professionals. - Contribute to high-quality, safe patient care. - Drive and follow up on processes and workflows in accordance with the organization's goals, vision, and direction. - Support the ward manager in improvement and development work. - Ensure that applicable guidelines and procedures are followed and contribute to successful implementation of new working methods. - Keep yourself updated on current guidelines, memos, and new knowledge relevant to operations. - Participate in orientation of new staff members. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and specialist nurse in perioperative nursing with experience in surgical and urological operations. Meritorious Qualifications - Experience with acute surgical procedures. - Competence in robotic-assisted surgery. - Experience with team leadership.
