We are looking for a confident and engaged section manager who wants a varied role with responsibility for employees, operations, budget, and work environment.
Job Responsibilities
As section manager, you lead a section with five project managers in production and one project manager with administrative duties. You have overall responsibility for personnel, budget, operations, and work environment.
You lead and support your employees through dialogue, participation, and clear goals, while following up on work and projects. Quality and improvement work are a natural part of the role. You are also responsible for preparing quotes and bids, as well as participating in procurement work.
This position is a temporary assignment of approximately 11 months.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
Relevant university degree equivalent to 180 credits and 3 years of experience within a relevant professional field, or alternatively other education combined with 8 years of experience within a relevant professional field.
At least 1 year of documented leadership experience (personnel, budget, and operations responsibility)
Experience with project management
Good computer skills
Good administrative skills
Driver's license category B
Good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have:
Experience in business development.
Experience navigating a large organization with high complexity.
Completed procurements and have knowledge of the Public Procurement Act.
Education in ground and infrastructure

KommunTeknik works for a well-functioning urban environment and offers locally adapted and cost-effective overall solutions for operations, maintenance, care, preparedness, and technical services within streets, parks, and properties. The department has approximately 600 employees and an annual turnover of around 930 million SEK.
The Service Administration is divided into five departments and offers everything from paratransit to IT and answering citizens at Malmö city's contact center. We maintain streets, parks, green spaces, and beaches, manage all of Malmö city's buildings, and ensure that our school students receive good and nutritious food.
