LKAB's operations in Svappavaara are an important part of the company's iron ore production. Today, operations are primarily conducted at Leveäniemi open pit mine, where iron ore is extracted above ground. The ore is then transported to the enrichment and pellets plant in Svappavaara, where it is refined into high-quality iron ore products.
Your role
This is a role for you if you want to take full responsibility for an important part of LKAB's production structure.
As section manager, you are responsible for extraction in the open pit (from ore face management to ore storage/stockpiles), as well as all raw material handling in the industrial area.
In Svappavaara, we always deliver according to our commitments, and to help you, you have a team consisting of supervisors, technicians, miners, and contractors, who together drive operational work forward. You work closely with mine planning and mine operations, and are part of the management group for the mine department.
The role involves clear operational responsibility where you set direction, follow up on results, and create conditions for your team to succeed. You work broadly with issues such as occupational environment, personnel, production, economics, and contracts, but have support from specialist functions such as HR, finance, procurement, and occupational environment.

Further, you have:
At least upper secondary education, university education in a relevant field is advantageous
Experience in a leadership role
Experience in mining operations or other industry
Experience in procurement, contracts, or transportation/logistics is advantageous
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Class B driver's license for manual transmission
