Help make society possible! About the Role As a manager and leader at the Swedish Tax Agency, you see the big picture, create the right conditions, and act intentionally in your daily work. Together with others, you work to create value with a focus on customers, grounded in our mission of serving society. In your leadership, you enable development and learning by giving authority and creating significant scope for action; you reinforce and follow up on the behaviors and culture needed for us to collectively accomplish our mission. You are expected to act and lead even when answers aren't certain, choices aren't clear, and methods aren't obvious. With courage and insight, you challenge our established ways of thinking and working, and you remain open to being challenged yourself. You have personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees, participate in the unit's management group, and report to the unit manager. The section works on in-depth investigations aimed at, for example, stopping incorrect payments, countering intentional tax evasion both nationally and internationally, and preventing abuse of our welfare system. Investigations often involve multiple types of taxes, and you examine undisclosed income, undeclared labor, or unreported wages to determine correct taxation. The work is constantly evolving, and in your role you will be involved in driving new methods in both internal and external collaborations. Your work location is Uppsala. About You To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be attentive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In this work, sound judgment and an understanding of legal security and safety are important. You should also live up to our employee policy. In this role, you should: • have the ability to see the whole picture with a focus on customer value • have the ability to create the right conditions based on your understanding of operations and mission • have the ability to act intentionally in your daily work based on strong self-awareness • be able to manage and analyze information flows, identify connections, define scope, and communicate information • have the ability to communicate clearly and create an environment where we listen to each other You should also have: • relevant university education of 180 higher education credits (120 credits under the old system) or several years of current and relevant work experience from a government agency • current and relevant work experience in management with personnel responsibility from a government agency It is desirable if you have current and relevant experience in management with personnel responsibility from the Swedish Tax Agency. Good to Know The employment is permanent and may begin with a six-month probationary period. Within the Swedish Tax Agency, we apply management mandates for up to five years, with the possibility of extension in periods of at most three years, without limitation on the number of extensions. Employment with us may involve placement in a security classification. A security clearance with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision is made. For some of our work tasks in security classification, Swedish citizenship is required.
