Job Description We are now seeking a Section Manager for our automation operations in Umeå! Here you will have the opportunity to take over a well-functioning business with established customer relationships, competent employees and a stable project business on a strong foundation. As section manager, you have overall responsibility for your operations, where you lead and develop a team of approximately 30 automation engineers and specialists. Your task will be to strengthen the culture and structure that already exists, while driving continued development of both employees and business. Through present and engaging leadership, you create conditions for job satisfaction, performance and long-term skills development in the group. The role involves close collaboration with customers in the industrial sector in the surrounding area, where you and your team deliver qualified automation solutions and project-based services. With clear business responsibility, you actively work to nurture and develop existing customer relationships, while identifying new opportunities in the region. As section manager, you are responsible for the section's results, project deliveries and profitability, as well as areas such as strategy, recruitment and skills supply. You operate in a larger context within AFRY and collaborate with other managers and business units to continue developing operations in the region and in Sweden. Work is primarily conducted on-site at our offices or at customer locations, but can be partially combined with remote work if needed. Qualifications We are looking for a curious and relationship-focused leader with the ability to develop an already well-functioning operation. You are motivated by creating good conditions for your employees and have a genuine interest in developing both people and business over time. With an attentive and relationship-building approach, you build trust within both the team and customer relationships. You are business-minded and understand what is required to run a profitable project operation. At the same time, you are curious and forward-thinking, with the ability to see opportunities for further development and improvement. You thrive in a role where you can combine structure and long-term thinking with operational engagement in daily work. We would like to see that you have the following experience and competencies: University degree or Civil Engineering degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field Leadership experience, either with personnel responsibility or as a project manager Background in automation, industry or related engineering fields with connection to project deliveries Experience working with customer relationships, business development and sales Experience working with budgets, results and follow-up Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Driver's license (category B) as customer visits in the surrounding area are a natural part of the role Based on the requirements profile, if we see that your knowledge and professional experience may be right for us, we will use tests as a next step in identifying your potential.
