School Counsellor at Internationella Engelska Skolan Österåker Internationella Engelska Skolan Österåker opened in August 2024. We are an F-9 school with two parallel classes and up to 610 students. Our vision is to create a safe and calm learning environment with high academic expectations, where each student has the opportunity to develop and succeed. The school is centrally located in Åkersberga, approximately 30 minutes from Stockholm and a five-minute walk from Roslagsbanan. We are now seeking a full-time school counsellor for grades F-9. As a school counsellor, you will be an important part of our student welfare team, where your primary role is to contribute to health-promoting and preventive student welfare work. We want to work proactively to identify needs early, strengthen protective factors, and create good conditions for students to feel well, feel safe, and reach their potential. We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent higher education and experience in supportive work with children and young people. Experience working in schools and collaborating with, for example, child and adolescent mental health services or social services is an asset. You are confident, relationship-building, and solution-focused. You can work independently but also thrive in close collaboration with others. Above all, you have a genuine commitment to young people and a strong belief in each student's ability to develop and find their potential. You must have excellent proficiency in both Swedish and English, as English is the working language in the staff group. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
