Sandvikskolan seeks Special Education Teacher with Intellectual Disability Focus

As a special education teacher at Sandvikskolan, you step into a small and secure school environment. Here you have the space to work closely with your students in small groups, where the focus is on making each individual's unique strengths visible. Through thematic and interdisciplinary work, we together create a meaningful and comprehensible school day for students with autism and intellectual disabilities.
Your main responsibilities
In your role, you are the pedagogical leader who shapes the future for our students. Your responsibilities include:
• Individualized instruction: Plan and lead instruction in adapted primary school subjects and subject areas.
• Pedagogical leadership: Guide teaching assistants and collaborate with school leadership to ensure high quality support for each student.
• Tools for success: Use clear pedagogy and alternative learning tools as a natural part of daily work.
• School development: Be a driving voice in our pedagogical forum and contribute to Sandvikskolan's continuous development.
During spring 2027, you and your colleague will undergo training in positive behavioral support arranged by the municipality's central student services.
QUALIFICATIONS

• Have experience working in adapted primary school.
