Do you want to help shape a sustainable society of the future?
At Södra Smålands Avfall och Miljö (SSAM), we do more than just manage waste – we drive the transition toward a circular future. Together with our owner municipalities Markaryd, Lessebo, Tingsryd, Älmhult, and Växjö, we work every day for a Småland where resources are valued and nothing goes to waste.
Now we're looking for you to take a key role in our operations and contribute to something greater. As a coordinator at SSAM, you'll have the opportunity to influence, develop, and make a real difference for both our operations and the environment.
About the Role
As a coordinator, you are a central part of the transport unit and are responsible for creating structure, flow, and quality in daily operations. You work closely with both employees and operations and play an important role in making the whole system function – every day.
This is a role for you if you thrive in a dynamic environment where you can combine leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Your main responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead daily operations through planning, prioritization, and follow-up
Be a present and supportive contact for personnel, operational functions, and other collaborators
Develop, implement, and follow up on routines and work methods
Ensure that operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with applicable goals, agreements, and legal requirements
Handle and follow up on deviations and contribute to continuous improvements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for you if you:
Hold a B and C driver's license (YKB is a merit)
Have experience as a driver in transport or waste/environmental sectors
Have experience with operational leadership, preferably in logistics, production, or waste management
Have post-secondary education in areas such as leadership, logistics, or environmental management (a merit)
Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Who Are You?
You are an engaged and solution-oriented person driven by making people and operations work together. You have a structured approach to work, are confident in your leadership, and have the ability to make decisions when needed.
You thrive in a role where the pace can be fast and where you need to be flexible, while also having the ability to create order and clarity. Building relationships, collaborating, and contributing to a positive work environment come naturally to you.
Why SSAM?
With us, you'll be part of an organization with a clear purpose – creating a more sustainable society. We offer a workplace where commitment, development, and collaboration are in focus, and where you have the opportunity to influence both your own role and the future of our operations.
