The Culture and Recreation Department works to promote cultural and recreational activities in the municipality. We are a politically governed service organization where residents are our clients. Together we find new ideas and solutions that contribute to residents' quality of life, sustainability, health, integration, and reduced exclusion.
The department consists of five operational areas:
- Culture school, youth culture, open youth activities, and recreational activities
- Recreation, sports, swimming hall, ice hall, and association activities

JOB DUTIES
Would you like to be part of developing Sigtuna Municipality's cross-departmental work on national minorities' rights, language, and culture?
We are seeking a coordinator who drives, develops, and follows up on the municipality's work with national minorities and the administrative area for Finnish. The assignment includes strategic coordination, consultation with national minorities, internal knowledge development, and support to the municipality's departments in implementing minority legislation and the municipality's action plan. As coordinator, you will independently lead the work with operational and budget responsibility in this area.
In this role, you are responsible for:
• coordinating the municipality's minority policy work,
• planning and conducting consultations with the Sweden-Finnish group and, if needed, other national minorities,
• following up on goals, activities, and government grants,
• developing cooperation between the municipality's operations,
• contributing to increased visibility for national minority languages and cultures,
• driving development issues within the Finnish administrative area and Roma inclusion.
Employment degree: 80%
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education and experience in qualified development, coordination, or investigative work, preferably in the public sector. You have good knowledge of human rights, participation issues, and national minorities' rights.
Knowledge of Finnish is a requirement.
As a person, you are enterprising, relationship-building, and organized. You are comfortable working both strategically and operationally and have the ability to create engagement and cooperation between different actors.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with relevant higher education and experience in qualified development, coordination, or investigative work, preferably in the public sector.
