We're looking for someone interested in a combined role as both coordinating school nurse and unit manager for the youth clinic. Through your role, you contribute to the health and well-being of children and young people. You'll be part of medical student health services, which is responsible for the medical student health initiatives (EMI) and lead development work within EMI in primary and secondary schools. The team consists of, in addition to the coordinating school nurse, four school doctors, one mobile school nurse, and one operations manager. In total, approximately 40 school nurses work at our schools. One school nurse also works part-time as an administrator in Prorenata. The youth clinic serves young people and young adults between 13-23 years old. We offer conversations about what concerns and worries them. At the clinic, young people can also get help with lab tests, contraceptives, pregnancy tests, and more. We work with a critical approach to norms and consciously strive to create a safe environment for everyone. The clinic is operated by both the region and the municipality. The medical staff are employed by the region, and the counseling staff consisting of three curators and one psychologist are employed by Eskilstuna Municipality with you as their leader. Together, we have good cohesion with open communication and a supportive climate. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES The role of coordinating school nurse is varied work where you work closely with the operations manager. Together you drive operational and development initiatives within EMI. Therefore, it's important that you're interested and stay updated on health issues concerning children and young people. For example, you organize training for school nurses at group level and lead various development groups, sometimes in collaboration with school doctors. You're a natural contact for all school nurses to turn to with questions or need for support. We offer our school nurses regular meetings in the form of network groups and group supervision, which you help coordinate. Working with the Prorenata journal system is also part of your role. For example, you set up access permissions, develop and implement new working methods, and update procedures. In working with Prorenata, you also have help from a knowledgeable school nurse. Additionally, you participate in recruiting and onboarding new school nurses to the municipality. Approximately 40% of your time you function as unit manager for the youth clinic. In an outward-facing role, you lead a work team where development and creativity are central. We have joint workplace meetings together with the region, and you work closely with the unit manager for the region's part of the youth clinic. Together you drive development forward with support and collaboration from both development specialists and other external partners both within and outside the municipality. You have full personnel, financial, and work environment responsibility for four employees. To provide present-minded leadership, you sit with your employees approximately one day a week. QUALIFICATIONS To understand the challenges our colleagues face, we want you to have several years of experience working as a school nurse. Of course, you have a nursing degree with relevant advanced education. It's good if you have strong knowledge of the Prorenata system and can guide colleagues in how to use it. If you've held a position as a manager or coordinating school nurse, that's a merit, but not a requirement. It's also an advantage if you have a B-category driver's license. Experience with collaboration and planning and leading development work is a merit. We want you to have a strong interest in working with quality and development issues. You want to develop working methods using digital tools. To succeed in the role, you need the ability to motivate others and get them involved in development. You drive your work independently and create a plan and structure for the work based on given assignments. We also believe you're confident in yourself and your competence.
