Security Officer for Military Intelligence and Security Service

Do you want to be part of the military security service and contribute to a militarily stronger Sweden in an uncertain world? The changed global situation means that Sweden's defense, both military and civil, is being strengthened. As the Swedish Armed Forces' activities grow and develop, the military intelligence and security service (MUST) also changes. We are now looking for a security officer who wants to help develop the military security service within the Swedish Armed Forces. In this role, you will contribute your expertise to an operation of great importance for Sweden's security. Main responsibilities As a security officer, you will work with varying tasks within the security service. Among other things, you will follow up parts of the security protection on assignment from the Swedish Armed Forces' security protection chief and contribute to developing security protection based on the operation's needs and changed conditions. The role includes representing MUST and the Swedish Armed Forces as an authority in contacts with other actors. You are expected to be able to represent a military perspective and contribute your expertise in matters concerning the Swedish Armed Forces' strategic protected interests. The work is mainly conducted during regular office hours, but international and domestic service trips occur. Work tasks can be both planned and emerging or reactive, for example as a result of events or activities that affect the Swedish Armed Forces' strategic protected interests. Depending on your background, your interests and aptitude, you may also have an educational role. The position gives you the opportunity to gradually deepen your expertise and develop into one of the Swedish Armed Forces' leading experts within the security service. The work also gives you insight into several parts of the Swedish Armed Forces' operations. As a security officer, you drive matters from identified need to decision and implementation, in close cooperation with experts within the security service. You therefore need to be able to structure and drive the work forward, while taking advantage of the collective expertise within the organization. We are primarily looking for someone who currently works within intelligence or security service and who wants to develop and deepen your expertise. You have an understanding of the security service's importance for the Swedish Armed Forces' operations and the ability to translate this understanding into practical work. As a person, you are flexible, structured, driven and results-oriented. You can independently drive and administer complex work tasks, while enjoying collaboration with others. You are responsible, confident in your professional role and have high personal integrity and a well-developed security awareness. The role involves representing MUST internally within the Swedish Armed Forces and to other authorities and operators. Therefore, good social skills, the ability to build trusting relationships and clear communication are important qualities. Qualifications Officers' or specialist officers' degree (Level OF 2-3, SO 7-8) Previous experience working in the Swedish Armed Forces Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Good knowledge of English Driver's license at least class B Meritorious Documented experience reviewing, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating large amounts of complex information to assess content. Documented education and experience within security service (SOK, KHS, SäkU-course). Experience and knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' organization acquired through several years of continuous service. Experience of staff service at operational, regional or defense branch level or in a NATO staff. Experience from national security operations or other background within intelligence or security service. Experience planning and conducting training and presentations. Other information Employment form: Permanent employment, 6 months probation applies if you are not currently employed by the Swedish Armed Forces.
