About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now recruiting additional staff members. Job Description As a regionally-based security expert, you will work strategically with security matters and provide close support to the regional manager on matters concerning priorities and strategic governance. You are responsible for developing decision support materials, conducting analyses, following up and evaluating results, and contributing proposals for long-term direction within the security area. In this role, you will identify development areas, make strategic prioritizations, and serve as qualified support on security matters at both regional and national levels. You will actively contribute your expertise to further develop the organization's security work. Your area of responsibility also includes matters related to incident reporting (ISAP), as well as follow-up on deviations, investigations, and inspections from both a regional and national perspective. You will participate in the working group handling the national situation assessment and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fire safety group, and will also serve as a representative in reference groups for development work. In your role, you are expected to promote good cooperation between national and regional levels. You will manage regional security forums and may be part of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's crisis management organization. The work location for this position is the regional office in Malmö. Qualifications To succeed in the role of security expert, you must have the ability to independently and systematically drive various security-related matters. You enjoy collaborating with different types of people and are flexible in your working approach. As a security expert, you need the ability to engage with people at different levels and adapt your communication accordingly. As a person, you think strategically and have a broad perspective on issues. We are looking for you who have: Academic education/degree of at least 120 ECTS credits, corresponding to two years of higher education at a college/university, within areas the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant. Alternatively, other education combined with experience the Swedish Prison and Probation Service finds relevant Experience collecting, compiling, evaluating, and analyzing information for the purpose of making assessments from a risk and security perspective Experience handling cases, conducting investigations, and preparing decisions Experience and understanding of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's different operational areas Experience with security work in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service Good computer skills and strong understanding of the importance of secure information management Good knowledge of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's management and governance Ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish It is also advantageous to have: Documented work experience from multiple different operational areas within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service Experience with security work at regional and/or national level Internal training within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's operations Experience planning, implementing, and following up on security training, exercise activities, and inspection work Experience with inter-agency cooperation Experience in leadership Experience with strategic systematic fire safety work Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the personal letter and replace it with selection questions relevant to the position.
