Do you want to play a key role in creating a modern embassy chancellery for the extensive operations conducted in Ukraine? To meet the need for chancellery premises, we are seeking a security and project officer for a major real estate project under the Ministry for Foreign Affairs' Property Unit (UD FAST) in Kyiv. The goal is to create a modern chancellery for up to approximately 100 employees from several different principals. This position is a temporary appointment as security and project officer for the project before and during the construction phase of the new chancellery.

You will work in dialogue with project management to develop processes and procedures for the production site, prepare governing documents, implement and monitor local security work in the project. The work shall be based on the project's security analysis and implementation strategy that has been developed. The position also includes acting as deputy to the security officer and department head during rotation, which may involve certain local authority contacts, liaison with the embassy's security organization, and handling of clearance processes as well as ongoing personnel security matters, such as training and inspection of project personnel, including incident management.
The work is conducted in close cooperation with the project manager and project security officers at the embassy, the UD FAST project manager, assigned construction managers, and the project organization in Stockholm.
Service in Kyiv is normally for one year with the possibility of extension. Family members, both adults and children, are not permitted to accompany. The duty station is classified as hardship category five and a health certificate is required.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with relevant academic qualification or equivalent police/military training and several years of experience in operational security work, primarily within the public sector, preferably in the Office of the Prime Minister (Regeringskansliet). It is an advantage if you have experience with procurement of goods and services, knowledge of the foreign service's regulations and guidelines, and experience in security work from other public sector activities. Experience with real estate matters or construction projects is also advantageous, as is previous experience in foreign service, particularly in hardship environments.

You are skilled at expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Other Information
Fixed-term employment for one year with the possibility of extension for one year. Start date as soon as possible by agreement.
The position is classified as a security position and security vetting with record check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. You must be a Swedish citizen.
