About the position At Södra Wood, we transform our members' forest raw materials into wood products sold around the world. Right now we're looking for new operators at our sawmill in Mönsterås. Do you want to work in a production environment where safety, collaboration, and development are in focus? Then this might be the position for you! What you'll be working with at Södra As a sawmill operator, you'll become an important part of production and work to ensure a stable and efficient flow in our operations. The role is varied and combines process monitoring with practical work out in the facility. Your work tasks may include: Monitoring and controlling parts of the production process Operating trucks, wheel loaders, or other machinery Handling material flows and raw materials Resolving minor operational issues Performing basic maintenance and equipment care Contributing to order and cleanliness in the facility Collaborating with colleagues to ensure safe and efficient production The work is both independent and team-based, and you'll have the opportunity to develop across several areas of operations. The position is permanent with placement at Södra's sawmill in Mönsterås, and working hours are shift-based. Who are we looking for? We're looking for someone who thrives in a practical and varied role where you take responsibility and work close to production. You have an interest in technology, machinery, and industrial processes and like working solution-oriented. You also have completed upper secondary education or equivalent. It's an advantage (not required) if you have: Experience in the sawmill industry/other industrial or production operations Experience with LEAN Crane certification Chainsaw certification Experience operating machinery, such as wheel loaders or trucks Good computer skills Experience with shift work As a person, you're responsible, engaged, and have a strong safety mindset.
