The Role
As a piping engineer at Nevita, you will work on technically interesting industrial projects in the process and energy sectors. The role is primarily based at the customer's site, providing you with valuable practical experience in a real industrial environment.
You will become part of the customer's project organization while having Nevita as your home base, where you receive ongoing support and guidance from experienced colleagues.
In this role, you will work in the early phases of projects, such as FEED and BED, and progressively gain insight into later stages. You will work closely with the Piping Lead, project management, and other engineering disciplines, continuously developing your technical expertise and understanding of piping design in operating facilities.
Your tasks will include:
Participate in piping design and develop technical solutions in accordance with applicable codes and standards
Contribute to the development of layouts, isometrics, and technical documentation
Participate in coordination between different engineering disciplines and in design reviews
Help develop solutions that are safe, constructible, and adapted for operation in existing facilities
Participate in risk analyses and safety-related activities
Support communication with the customer and other stakeholders
You will progressively assume greater responsibility as you develop in the role and strengthen your technical expertise.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with some years of experience in piping design or a related field.
You have:
A degree in mechanical engineering or similar from a university or technical college
At least one year of relevant work experience, for example from an engineering consultancy or industrial company
Basic knowledge of piping design and industrial projects
Experience with, or knowledge of, relevant design tools (experience with SmartPlant 3D is highly valued)
Good communication skills in both Swedish and English
As a person, you are curious, driven, and have a desire to learn. You take initiative, enjoy collaborating, and are motivated by developing well-thought-out technical solutions. You are comfortable in a dynamic environment and want to develop both technically and professionally with Nevita.
