Riding Instructor at Hedemorabygdens Riding Club

Hedemorabygdens Riding Club offers training for riders and horse enthusiasts at several levels. We handle horses with knowledge and good judgment, and our activities are characterized by joy and community. Our operations should be run with balanced finances and we should be a place for learning in equestrian sports and horse management.
About us:
The association currently has approximately 300 members and approximately 180 riders each week. We are known for our activities for riders with disabilities. Currently, the club owns 17 fantastic horses and ponies, and 5 people work with us today. We are a pleasant association, have an active youth section, and we organize several competitions per year, both club competitions and one/two star competitions in dressage and jumping. We also organize riding camps and courses. Our riding club has a broad student base ranging from young children to adults and retirees. The activities include both para-equestrian programs and active training groups.
Our activities are conducted at a municipally-owned facility with excellent conditions for both horses and people.
About the position:
As a riding instructor with us, you are responsible together with your colleagues for ongoing lesson activities, stable work, maintenance of the facility, the horses, and finances. Together you work on the daily operational work and the long-term development of the activities. You ensure that the operations are conducted with high quality, good working environment, and have a strong focus on horse welfare. The role also includes certain budget responsibility as well as responsibility for planning, staffing, and developing the activities.
The role also includes working together with other staff to create structure and quality in practical work. You are responsible together with your colleagues for purchasing and training the association's horses. Work in the evenings and, if needed, weekends occurs.
You work closely with an engaged board and together with an experienced team. The ambition is to develop activities where quality, horse welfare, and community are central values, and to create a place where both people and horses thrive, develop, and want to stay over time. The role also involves representing the activities externally and actively contributing to building collaborations with the municipality and other stakeholders.
Education/Qualifications:
We are looking for you who are a clear and confident unpretentious riding instructor, preferably with previous experience. You have the ability to meet and inspire riders at all training levels. You are driven by developing the activities and working with people and horses. You are educated at least SRL II, preferably have a BE driving license, and good computer skills.
Start date:
The position is a permanent employment at 75%, possibly more by agreement. Before any employment, an extract from the criminal record must be shown. We apply a probationary period.
