HEAD OF HEATING PLANT OPERATIONS BECHYNĚ
The mission of Czech company ERDING is to ensure reliable supplies of heat and hot water to apartments, schools, offices, etc. We pride ourselves on long-term relationships with both our customers and employees. Since 1998, we have successfully operated a district heating system in the city of Bechyně, and we are now looking for a responsible addition to our existing team with a technical mindset.

• Can you efficiently lead a team of 4 boiler room operators and are you comfortable communicating with your direct supervisor remotely?

What will your work involve?
• Responsibility for facility operations: You will ensure safe, smooth, and efficient operation of heat sources (biomass boiler, gas boilers, heat exchanger stations) in compliance with legislation and established standards
• Technical management: You will handle operational matters, fault elimination, planning maintenance/repairs, and regular inspections
• Analytical work: You will technically evaluate energy consumption, fuel consumption, and overall efficiency and performance of operated equipment
• Team leadership: You will lead a small team of boiler room operators
• Communication: You will actively work with suppliers of purchased fuels/services and individual heat customers, maintain professional relationships, and stay in close contact with your supervisor remotely
What do we expect from you?
• Professional experience: Experience in energy sector or HVAC, heat/electricity production and distribution, or technical construction or HVAC implementation
• Personal qualities: Proactive approach to task solving, willingness to learn new things, independence, decisiveness, and ability to work in a team
• Mobility: Valid driving license category B (active driver)
Where will you work and what do we offer?
You will enjoy diverse and technically interesting work in a stable company environment. Your main workplace will be the central heat source in Bechyně, burning biomass and natural gas. This key facility ensures reliable heat supply for the entire city – approximately 1,000 households, local schools, commercial buildings, etc. You will also be responsible for smooth and safe operation of other smaller boilers within the South Bohemian region.
You will receive a company car. While you will work independently in the region, you will meet with the entire team at least once a month for a meeting in Brno and meet several times a year at informal company events.
