As a lawyer at Revisorsinspektionen, you will work with legal matters concerning auditing and auditors, with the opportunity to deepen your expertise in association law and general administrative law issues.
In our risk-based supervision, you will investigate matters in collaboration with our auditors that are brought forward for decisions on disciplinary measures. You will participate in the special quality reviews we conduct of auditors and registered audit firms that audit companies of public interest. In these activities, lawyers and auditors work as teams. Your work will also include handling applications for advance rulings, cases appealed to court, and participating in legislative work in the auditing and audit field (e.g., through participation in government inquiries and preparation of consultation responses). Additionally, we conduct thematic supervision, an important part of preventive oversight where we identify and address common challenges in the industry.
The agency is currently focusing on money laundering and economic crime, AI and digitalization, and review of sustainability information. As a lawyer, you may become involved in these matters. Your work may also include representing Revisorsinspektionen externally to the industry and in international contexts.
Your Qualifications and Abilities
You must have a law degree (jur.kand. or equivalent).
It is meritorious if you have experience working at a government agency, such as the Government Offices, a court, supervisory and evaluation authority, or other qualified professional experience, for example from an audit or law firm.
It is particularly meritorious if you have experience working against economic crime or within the financial sector.
You can:

More About the Position
This is a permanent full-time position with individual salary setting. The employment may begin with a probationary period. Start date by agreement.
We offer you a workplace with benefits including flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partially remotely. Each employee has their own office, and the office is centrally located in Stockholm (Karlavägen 104).

About Revisorsinspektionen
Revisorsinspektionen is the government's expert authority on matters concerning auditors and auditing. We exercise supervision over qualified auditors and registered audit firms. We also examine and authorize auditors. Our mandate includes ensuring that good auditing practice develops appropriately in Sweden and that there are sufficient auditors in business and society who perform high-quality audits. Revisorsinspektionen also has international engagement at the Nordic, European, and global level.
The agency currently has 23 employees. Most are authorized auditors or lawyers.
As of January 1, 2027, the tasks of Bokföringsnämnden will be transferred to Revisorsinspektionen, which will then change its name to Myndigheten för redovisning och revision.
