The care and housing facilities in Malmö city are organized into 5 units. We're now looking for nursing assistants for resource group 2 at unit 2. As a nursing assistant in the resource group, you'll work on a fixed schedule (day/evening and weekends). You'll be placed in the Visheten/Trevnaden resource area and work in these operations. Duties As a nursing assistant, your role includes providing users with care, service, and support. The work requires medical care work following delegation from a nurse. You'll also collaborate with other professionals and maintain continuous contact with family members. Your work also includes documentation in the LifeCare system. Within the Visheten–Trevnaden resource area, you'll work on a unit for people with particularly demanding care needs, where the target group mainly consists of people with dementia and extended care needs. You'll encounter users with behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), such as aggression, restlessness, apathy, hallucinations, or sleep disorders. The work requires a good understanding of these symptoms and a professional approach based on patience, attentiveness, and a person-centered working method. Qualifications Requirements for the position: Trained nursing assistant with approved grades Proof of protected professional title (nursing assistant) from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from your employer that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant as of 1/7 2023 Experience in care work Good digital skills Very good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written It's a merit if you have experience working in care and housing facilities and working with people with dementia and special care needs. We'd like to see experience with IT tools such as LifeCare, Procapita, Flexite, and Senior Alert and/or BPSD. Experience performing medical tasks according to delegation is also a merit.
