About the role and your responsibilities As a resource pedagogue, you guide and support students in their learning and are available both socially and practically throughout the student's entire school day (school and after-school activities). One of the cornerstones is to help students toward independence, and you build relationships with students and their surroundings to increase their sense of security. You are active within the scope of your assignment and are an important support in developing learning, whether working with individual students or groups. Östratornskolan is seeking a resource pedagogue for a group in grade 4. As a pedagogical resource, you will follow student(s) during the school day and also work in after-school activities for grades 4-6, while providing support to students in the class. You participate in pedagogical planning and carry out and follow up on work with student(s) under the guidance of the responsible pedagogue. You help promote the development of the student(s). The work involves varied tasks in school and after-school settings where you work together in a team. We are looking for you We are looking for someone with upper secondary or adult education within a child and leisure program or care and welfare program. Other education combined with experience that the employer deems relevant to the assignment may be applicable. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education. Previous experience in similar assignments and/or experience working with children/students or in primary school is an advantage. It is beneficial if you have experience working with children with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). We are looking for someone with a strong interest in working with students in need of additional support. You have the ability to see different students' needs, take into account each student's individual circumstances, and help students grow. In your work, you are positive and engaged, and you believe it is important to have good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are pedagogical and have a low-affect approach. The overarching goal you strive toward is that students in need of additional support gradually achieve greater independence. As a person, you are clear, calm, and secure. You have good collaboration skills and are relationship-building. A positive attitude and flexibility are highly valued. You can easily get there by bicycle from Lund's city center or by the bus line that stops just outside the school. The school is a grades 4-9 school that works to create continuity throughout the student's education. The school therefore has close collaboration with two other schools in the school program. Östratonskolan actively works to see the whole student and believes that well-being and learning go hand in hand. The school's after-school center is located at the 4H property in a beautiful rural environment. There, students have the opportunity to explore nature and have access to animals. The after-school center works to develop outdoor pedagogy and therefore has large parts of its operations conducted outdoors.
