We are now seeking you to work as a Resource Pedagogue at Falkenbergs gymnasieskola, based at Navet. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Navet is a support service for students who for various reasons need support to succeed in their upper secondary studies. Support can be provided individually, in small groups, or in connection with regular instruction. The work team consists of student coaches, resource pedagogues, special pedagogues, and special educators. Work is conducted in close collaboration with teaching staff, mentors, student health services, and the principal to create the best possible conditions for students to succeed in their studies. The assignment also has a clear socio-pedagogical dimension. You work on building relationships and motivating students, helping them develop strategies for studies, attendance, independence, and a functioning school situation. A central part of the assignment is to help students understand, structure, and carry out their schoolwork and, in collaboration with teaching staff, provide pedagogical support so that students can progress toward educational goals. Job responsibilities include: • providing pedagogical support to students individually and in small groups • supporting students with assignments and instructional content in various subjects • explaining, making concrete, and structuring instructional content based on the student's needs and conditions • planning and following up on students' schoolwork together with the student and teaching staff • supporting students in developing study techniques, planning skills, and strategies for more independent learning • working with motivation, attendance, and other factors affecting students' chances of succeeding in their studies • providing support in regular instruction, at Navet, and in other learning situations • working to build relationships and supporting students in social contexts connected to the school situation • working closely with teaching staff, mentors, special pedagogues, special educators, and student health services • contributing to preventive and long-term work with students in need of support. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with teacher training for upper primary and/or upper secondary education. You should have experience independently supporting young people in their learning and knowledge development. You need to have a strong ability to engage with instructional content in various subjects and be able to explain, make concrete, and structure content based on students' different needs and conditions. You should be able to work systematically with students' planning, study techniques, motivation, and progress, and follow up on student schoolwork in close collaboration with teaching staff. Experience working with young people in need of special support and knowledge of NPF/AST are meriting factors. Experience with instruction is meriting, as is socio-pedagogical competence and experience with qualified work with young people in need of support. We are seeking someone who combines pedagogical ability with a relational approach. You are structured, clear, and confident and find it easy to build good relationships with young people. You can meet students with patience and flexibility while supporting and challenging them toward greater independence. You have strong communication skills and see collaboration as an integral part of the assignment. The role involves close cooperation with both students and teaching staff, mentors, student health services, and other professionals around the student.
