3 position(s). We are looking for you to work supporting students at Norrtälje adapted gymnasium school in both pedagogical development and care needs. We share facilities with Rodengymnasiet, which is within walking distance of Norrtälje city center and the bus station. The Assignment Assist students with their schoolwork as led and planned by our teachers Be the student's extended arm both when it comes to communication and understanding and with physical difficulties Help students with significant care needs, such as eating, hygiene, and toileting. Support students in physical activities both indoors and during walks and other outdoor activities. Challenges and Opportunities There may be some communicative challenges in the work if the student feels misunderstood or cannot express what they are currently experiencing as problematic. You need to be able to interpret situations and read students to avoid acting-out behavior and smoothly be able to switch between integrating a student in a group and giving space for solitude. Our existing staff has good experience and is more than willing to share their knowledge. We work in teams, which means you are never left entirely alone in your work. What You Need to Bring Requirements We are looking for someone who is trained as a childcare worker or has equivalent education or good experience working with children/students with ID (intellectual disability) and autism. It is a requirement that you have knowledge and experience with students who may be acting out. Your work approach and demeanor are characterized by low-affect interaction and positive reinforcement. In total, 30 colleagues work at Norrtälje adapted gymnasium school, of which 16 staff work in the Individual Program where the position is located. Employment Type, Scope, and Start Date Employment Type: Temporary/On-call Scope: Part-time, as needed Start Date: Immediate or by arrangement For this role, the starting salary is normally between 26,000-31,000 kr depending on experience and competence.
