We are now seeking a Restaurant Manager for Food Garden – our popular buffet restaurant at Nordby Shopping Center, owned by Nordby Wok AB. With us, you will have a key role where you lead daily operations on the floor, develop your team, and ensure our guests always have a fantastic experience.
The Role and Your Responsibilities
As Restaurant Manager, you have overall operational and personnel responsibility for the restaurant. You work closely with the kitchen chef and management to optimize operations, maintain high quality, and create a pleasant work environment.
Operative Leadership: Be present on the floor, lead and inspire dining room staff during all shifts.
Personnel & Scheduling: Responsible for staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and daily coaching of the team.
Guest Experience & Quality: Ensure high service standards, excellent customer service, and a clean, welcoming environment.
Finance & Goals: Actively work with sales, personnel costs, and tracking against set targets.
Routines & Hygiene: Ensure compliance with current procedures, self-inspection, and workplace safety regulations.
Qualifications
Documented experience from a leadership role in the restaurant industry (e.g., restaurant manager, head waiter, or assistant restaurant manager).
Experience with personnel responsibility, scheduling, and operational management.
Good understanding of restaurant economics and key performance indicators (personnel costs, sales targets).
Fluent Swedish or Norwegian in speech and writing, as well as good English proficiency.
Clear leadership, good communication skills, and high stress tolerance.
About the Position & What We Offer
Scope: Permanent employment 100% (full-time), with a 6-month trial period.
Working Hours: Scheduled working time (day, evening, and weekend shifts according to center opening hours).
Start Date: By mutual agreement.
Collective Agreement: We follow the Visita – Unionen/HRF collective agreement.
