They are now seeking a traveling service technician who wants to become an important part of the team and work with service and installation of advanced industrial equipment at customers throughout Sweden.
About the Position
As a traveling service technician at KMC, you will have a varied and independent role where you are responsible for installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of their machinery at customer sites. You will work with equipment in areas such as blasting, tumbling, surface treatment, die casting, and balancing.
The work involves frequent travel throughout Sweden and several hotel nights per year. You will also travel to their suppliers in Europe for training, machine inspections, and technical reviews.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work with:
Installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Mechanical maintenance, service, and repair of industrial machines.
Troubleshooting and addressing emergency downtime.
Preventive service, machine inspections, and maintenance according to service plans.
Upgrades and modernization of existing equipment.
Technical documentation and reporting of completed work.
Technical advice to customers on operation, maintenance, and improvements.
Identification of spare parts needs and future upgrades.
We are looking for someone with a technical background and experience in mechanical maintenance, service, or installation within industry. You have a good understanding of industrial electricity, can read electrical diagrams, and have troubleshooting experience. Experience with control systems or PLC is a merit.
We would like you to have:
Technical education at least at upper secondary level in, for example, mechanics, electrical, automation, or equivalent.
Experience in mechanical maintenance, service, and installation within industry.
Good knowledge of industrial electricity and troubleshooting.
Ability to read drawings and technical documentation.
Driver's license (category B).
Good knowledge of Swedish as well as English, both spoken and written.

You are structured, thorough, and have an easy time building trust with customers. Since the role involves many travel days, we see that you appreciate a dynamic job and enjoy working in the field.
Other Information
The position involves travel throughout Sweden and some travel within Europe for training and supplier visits. The work location is flexible, but we would prefer that you are based in Southern Sweden, Stockholm, or Mälardalen as many of our customers are in these areas.
A service vehicle is provided from your home when possible, and you will have access to modern tools and equipment that will give you good conditions to succeed in the role.
