Would you like to lead and develop adult education with a clear focus on quality and results? We are seeking an engaged and business-minded rector for our distance learning operations. Here you will have the opportunity to combine pedagogical leadership with operational development and contribute to creating high-quality education for students in multiple locations. About the Role As rector, you are responsible for our distance learning operations and will lead them with a focus on quality, results, and development. You work closely with the operations and combine your pedagogical leadership with responsibility for staff, finances, contracts, and delivery. An important part of the assignment is to ensure that our distance education programs are conducted in an equitable and quality manner in the locations where we operate. You monitor results and quality, identify development needs, and translate them into concrete improvements. You will have support from other rectors, administrators, and resources within the organization. The role includes, among other things: Lead and develop operations – set direction, follow up on results, and drive development based on the needs of the operations and students. Lead staff – develop and follow up on personnel and be responsible for personnel-related matters. Ensure quality and results – be responsible for the implementation, quality, and goal achievement of distance education programs as well as follow-up with commissioning municipalities. Be responsible for contracts and delivery – ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable contracts, procedures, and instructions and that requested documentation is reported correctly and on time. Develop our local presence – ensure that appropriate facilities are available based on the needs of the operations and contracts. Drive new establishments – lead and coordinate the start-up and implementation of new education contracts. Be responsible for apprenticeships and internships – when applicable, plan and organize the procurement of apprenticeship and internship positions and ensure quality and follow-up. We are Looking for Someone Who: has a university degree in education and has completed the state rector training program or is participating in an ongoing rector training program. has at least two years of leadership experience with personnel and budget responsibility within the regular school system. Experience from adult education is a merit. You also have documented results from previous leadership assignments, for example in quality improvement, goal achievement, operational development, or financial management. To succeed in the role, you need to be a clear and inspiring leader who creates engagement and develops both staff and operations. You are strategic and analytical and have the ability to translate goals, results, and follow-up into concrete improvements. We also see that you have experience with both procured operations and authorization systems. You communicate very well in both speech and writing and have good IT skills as well as a strong interest in driving digital development. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
