The Education Department in Nora Municipality is seeking a principal for Principal Area 4, which consists of grades F-6 schools; Ås School and Järnboås School.
Ås School is located in Ås, approximately 3 km west of Nora. It serves approximately 150 students from preschool class to grade 6. Järnboås School is located in Järnboås, approximately 2 miles north of Nora. It serves 60 students from preschool class to grade 6. Both schools also have after-school care programs.
Both schools have a high proportion of certified teachers. There is also a student health team consisting of a school nurse, counselor, special education teacher, and school psychologist. The schools also have access to the school social work team that works with all our students in Nora from preschool class to grade 6.

DUTIES
As a principal, you are responsible for the leadership and coordination of pedagogical work at the school. You have budget, personnel, and workplace environment responsibility within your school area. You lead, plan, coordinate, develop, and evaluate operations in accordance with the education board's mandate, vision, and mission. Your work should contribute to increased safety and academic focus, strengthen student participation, and ultimately lead to improved student achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a pedagogical education from, for example, a teacher training program or other pedagogical education that the employer considers equivalent. It is advantageous if you have completed or started a principal training program.
To succeed in this role, you must have strong organizational and planning abilities. You are independent, flexible, and entrepreneurial, and you enjoy working in teams and in close collaboration with other professionals. You have a good and empathetic approach and the ability to build trust with students, parents, and colleagues. Furthermore, it is important to us that you are committed, development-oriented, and are a clear pedagogical leader and manager.

A Class B driver's license is required for the position.
