Right now, we are seeking a principal for Storvikenskolan and Sörgårdskolan – two F–3 schools in central Brunflo with approximately 100 students at each school. Here you will have the opportunity to lead and develop services for our youngest students, both in school and in after-school programs. A position for someone who wants to be close to the operations and work together with staff to create excellent conditions for students' learning, development, and wellbeing. Your New Job As a principal in the school, you have an interesting and challenging position where you get to take responsibility for daily operations and development. You will lead the educational activities in a strategic manner to realize the school's goals and drive systematic quality improvement forward. Your role also extends beyond the schools where you serve as principal, and you become a key player in collaboration with other principals within the Brunflo school area where you work together with three other principals who jointly oversee the entire F-9. You will also participate in the overarching and long-term work for the school municipality as part of the primary school principal group where approximately 30 principals and assistant principals await you as future colleagues. Here the focus is on collegial support, shared development, and working with and taking responsibility for decisions made by the Education Committee. As a principal, you are responsible for operations, staff, and finances, as well as for systematic quality improvement. You work in close collaboration with student support services and staff in the school area. As a new manager, you will receive both municipality-wide and operation-specific orientation. Typical Work Tasks Lead, inspire, and engage staff Plan, organize, follow up, and evaluate work Ensure that operations develop in accordance with the Education Act, curriculum, and other governing documents Develop educational activities Take responsibility for budget, staff, and work environment Your Qualifications Requirements Relevant academic degree Experience with leadership and specifically pedagogical leadership Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Meritorious It is meritorious if you have completed principal training Experience working as a manager with personnel responsibility Experience leading development and change initiatives is meritorious Ability to see the big picture and build effective organizations and create structure We Are Looking For You!
