The Records Service Unit supports large parts of Västra Götalandsregionen's operations with qualified services in records management, archival matters, and scanning and boxing of documents. In the records office, four records officers create and verify cases, register received documents, and together are responsible for records management for 13 authorities. Job Description As a records officer at Records Service, you have a central role in several authorities' case management and work in a team of records officers that supports the operations in records management matters. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for physical and digital mail handling in our case management system, which includes registering public documents, archiving, and responsibility for various authority mailboxes. You also provide guidance and support to the operations on matters concerning records management and disclosure of public documents. In this role, you contribute to the democratic process by promoting transparency, maintaining the integrity of information, and creating and maintaining order among the authorities' public documents. You are expected to participate in and lead development projects in close collaboration with our partners, as well as educate and provide expertise support within the field. The position is located at Region House, Vänersborg, and travel is part of the job. Qualifications We are looking for someone who enjoys working both independently and with others. You have a natural ability to collaborate, enjoy sharing your knowledge, and actively seek knowledge from others. The role involves many internal and external contacts, which requires you to be service-oriented, relationship-building, and work methodically. We also see that you have: Higher education with a focus on public administration, political science, or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent. Several years of experience working as a records officer in public administration, preferably at a comprehensive level. Strong knowledge of laws and regulations in the archival field, such as the Archives Act, the Freedom of the Press Ordinance, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, the Municipal Act, and the Administrative Procedure Act. Experience leading projects or development work. Good Swedish in both speech and writing. Meritorious Experience working with records and case management systems, such as Public 360 Very good knowledge of the Office package Experience working with SharePoint and Teams Good knowledge of regulations for information management in public administration and basic knowledge of personal data handling. You have an open and accommodating approach and handle information with high integrity and a security-conscious working method. Furthermore, you are thorough and organized with the ability to combine attention to detail with a holistic perspective. You adapt quickly to changed circumstances and work flexibly in an operation that is under constant development.
