Welcome to Willys. We need everyone here. Description We are looking for a Regional Manager for the Gothenburg area. You will be responsible for 16 stores. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves people, food, sales, and leadership! Position type: Full-time permanent employment. Start date: December 1, 2026 or by agreement. Working hours: You will work office hours, but as distances between stores vary, working hours may also vary. Travel: The role involves regular store visits and travel with overnight stays approximately 1–3 days per week. You are expected to be in stores about three days per week. Requirements: Upper secondary education, B-class driver's license, and strong Swedish skills in speaking and writing. You have solid and documented experience as a store or regional manager or from a comparable management role, preferably in grocery retail. If you lack experience in grocery retail, we would like to see that you have worked in retail and have post-secondary education in economics, commerce, or equivalent. You will work in the regional manager and store manager groups on the region's strategy and business planning. In the role, you are responsible for, among other things: Following up and reporting on the region's targets, key figures, and individual goals, and making financial decisions according to budget. Holding store manager meetings and creating conditions for collaboration between stores. Regularly conducting store visits, following up on, and coaching store managers according to their store-specific business plans. Holding regular development and salary discussions, creating development plans, and monitoring development and performance. Working on the region's successor planning. Recruiting and introducing store managers, and participating in recruitment of stores' management teams. Building good relationships with regional union representatives and participating in regional safety committee work. Working closely with an HR partner. About you We are looking for you—a confident, clear, and present leader with the ability to create engagement, community, and results through others. You are stress-resistant and thrive in a role where you work closely with people, both in stores and remotely. You communicate clearly and professionally in both speech and writing and have the ability to motivate, coach, and develop others. You have good analytical skills, can handle complex information and unexpected problems, and adapt effectively to new situations and conditions. You dare to try new ways of working, think long-term, and drive change with a focus on developing the business and creating added value for the customer. You have demonstrated sound leadership in the role of Regional Manager, Store Manager, or equivalent role, and have delivered good profitability. In addition, you have good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel. We would like it if you live in Gothenburg or northern Gothenburg, as in the long term you will be responsible for a region in that area. During the first 1–1.5 years, you will be responsible for stores further south, in Skåne and surrounding areas. After that, a transition to a region closer to your residence is planned.
